Yes, they do.
Dude this is 9mo out you could have sent them a postcard seamail.
I'm thinking they are but not their regular hours. You might want to call them
Considering it being a little busy... it wasn't overly crowded and our waitress was nice to us... the food was ONO (delicious)...
Best banana cream pie.
This place can get busy. If so, you have to write your name on their log to sign in. Parking is good for 90 minutes. This place is a good choice for you if you're hungry and you're not picky about what you want to eat. Your orders come to you in not more than 10 minutes. Their oxtail soup is really good!
Terrific food and with a friendly and casual setting. This place will take you back to the old days where you can come and enjoy local food and feel like you at home. I highly recommend this casual, friendly restaurant.
Good service. A little bit busy and can take time to get service but everyone is friendly and food was great. Food came in fast though.
Alot of variety of local foods on the menu.
A local favorite with lots of delicious local style food. Known for their saimin bowls and fried saimin. If you haven’t tried it, you got to give it a try. The only downside to this place is the parking. Go early or eat later than the usual lunch crowd. The staff were awesome too.
Excellent food and awesome service. We were tourists but felt so totally welcome here.
Location, location , location..food was great, wonderful waitress, clean, friendly, like the good days restaurant..parking was a bit of a challenge,, but worth the very short wait..ENJOY. !!!!❤
Decently good breakfast and local foods including saimin. Omlets made to order.
Relaxed atmosphere! My first time there, when I walked in the smells were wonderful!! I tried the fried saimin, and it was delicious, had lots of char siu!! The portion was huge, took some home👍 Will go back to try other items soon.
The beef stew is sweet, so if ur not into that type of taste this is not the dish for u
Service was normal and quick. Food was okay. Parking is limited. Price is reasonable.
Service was excellent, and food was good. Consistency is off. Ordered 2 of the same burgers one was dry the other was oily. Clam chowder was great.
Love the array of food. I had the Friday Special King Cut Prime Rib, while my mother had the oxtail soup. Both were generous proportions. They serve everything I could be craving. Location is nice and very spacious dining area. 😊
Extensive local menu. Big servings. And of course tasty. Nothing funky. Serving staff so friendly and nice, made sure we were comfy from the start.
This morning was our first time visiting the restaurant. The food was awesome, hot and delicious! The fried rice has been the best so far since arriving on island. Our daughters loved the food. The customer service was great from the time we were greeted until we left.
Grew up eating this food since Boulevard Saimin days. New location and food/service still retains the reasons why we keep going back for more.
Escargots! The best! Served everyday and only $9.00. AWESOME!
Good comfort food. Gotta be good. Always got people waiting. Once sitted, the service is tops. Everyone there is smiling. There's television sets around the bar. So you can keep up with the News. Did I mention the food is ono & the menu got plenty to choose from.
Great service, great atmosphere. Good food. Nice portions.
Awesome, some of the best tempura around. Been going here for years and the food is always great. Although some of the old time favorites are not on the menu, they're always acccomodating, and make it.Reasonably priced, and able to accommodate fairly large parties. We had dinner for 13 there just last night. No reservations, and no problems.Gotta love it!
Super good food
The food is consistently great. Great staff
Tanaka saimin is the kind of place where you will get slightly old-fashioned food, nothing will be great, and every single item will be average to above average. Chinese chicken salad? Check! Oxtail soup? Check? Cheeseburger plate? Check! Saimin? Check! It's incredibly consistent in that regard, and usually not to crowded because it's a bit out of the way for a meal (although it does share a block with La Tour and Bangkok Cafe. When I went there recently, everyone was observing the mask regulations, seating was socially distanced. And tables were sanitized regularly.
It was great to sit down and eat! A bit confusing on check in and now exiting on the left door. Food as always great
Tanaka Saimin food and service is excellent. The daily specials are great.. one of my favorites is Wednesdays..the braised short ribs....highly recommended!
Always a favorite. Excellent customer service treat you like family. Tasty food 😋👌 never a long wait.
'Ono food, fast and friendly service
Omelet dry, short on cooks. waited 10min before seated. 10 min before ordering. 30min for food to be served. Food very badly cooked. English muffin over greased. Very disappointed all together.
Comfort food. Had a huge ham hock cake Dinosaur bone. Delicious, soft and tasty. Came with cooked cabbage
Great local food with great friendly service. Parking can be a challenge especially when it's busy so make sure to be aware of that. Otherwise it's all good. Obviously their saimin is the featured item, but they also have wonderful local dishes. Daily specials are also great with lots of variety.
Awesome service! So nice to eat IN again! Don't forget your face mask... once you're seated and order you can take it off 😊👍🏽
People should know Excellent Customer Service. They appreciate you coming to eat there.
This was my first time there and it was really good. My parents ate there first for my dads birthday and so they brought the whole family here a second time in the same month. Haha. The only challenge is the parking. We went around a couple times until we finally found an open stall. I had the Fried Saimin, I enjoyed it but couldnt eat it all. The staff is really nice and overall great food.
Waitstaff is always so nice! 1st place we went to eat since this Covid-19. Nice atmosphere, great food and oooohhhh myyyy goodness....the fried tempura ice cream was The Bomb!
Fave place to go for shrimp tempura!! 💯 Their tartar sauce is the best!! Make sure you ask for extra.. Service is awesome, (especially the older aunty), and never got a wrong order yet.. Love!! Boulevard Saimin used to be good too, but the service by anyone but the owner is horrible.. Rude and honey, I don't do rude.. Stood there while they ignored me for a good 15 minutes while they "talked story" to one another.. After I snapped, they talked Micronesian amongst themselves and to the cook, which made me call for the manager.. She was great but too late.. Go to Tanaka's instead 💯
The food was good despite the waiter telling me that he hated liver. The Korea Moco was a bit too peppery to finish. The sound were nice and colorful. Lot of seating capacity. Lot of parking.I appreciate this place being open late at night.
It’s a good stop for saimin and a good dessert. Variety of foods.
Ono food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly servers.. yummy oxtail soup and lilikoi chiffon dessert 😋
Teriyaki Ribeye steak, Vegtable tempura plater.... Soooo Ono
I've always received good service here. Food is tasty.
I love the Chicken Katsu and Tanaka Saimin those are my favorite. The service is great too, Patty was my Waitress today she is so ALOHA she always keeps a smile on her face and she is quick. Will definitely be back.
Must try there desert ,homemade lilikoi chiffon pie with or without ice cream and there fried ice cream either with vanilla or chocolate ice cream. The fried ice cream taste like cinnamon bread wrapped around the ice cream ,it’s a little sweet for me but still tastes good.
Great chop steak and my wife's fried min was fabulous
I love this place. Great food and service. Specials daily and get very busy at times.
Tanaka Saimin is located off Nimitz Highway next to Lowes. We came in early for breakfast because we were in the area. This restaurant is huge and can easily accommodate large groups. I decided to try the French toast sandwich and my wife had the Japanese Breakfast. My choice was Ono and was just what I wanted. The Japanese Breakfast comes with a nice piece of Miso Butterfish, it was pretty good. Not many places offer Japanese breakfasts with Butterfish. If I wrote this review years ago I would have have given this place a 2 1/2 - 3 Stars. Because of the Saimin I ate came with luke warm broth and taste less. I'm glad I didn't write that review. I'll be back again before I finish this review.Service was great! Attentive, friendly and Happy
Lots of menu options including make your own mix plate. :) One of our go-to places for lunch because the service is pretty quick. Nice staff. Parking can be pretty awful since they share the lot with a number of businesses.
The food portions are generous and the staff are wonderful! I love their fried rice with everything else! You gotta go here!
I usually love this place but I found a bug (the black nat floating in my spoon) in my saimin tonight and I had eaten half of my saimin. They only took that item off of my bill when they really should've comped the entire bill.
